Amazon is one of the world’s greatest marketplaces that attracts more than 180 million visitors a month. You can list your products on Amazon right from your Store and thus expand the number of your potential customers and increase your revenue.
When you sell on Amazon, you can manage products and orders in one place—the Store Control Panel. If you sync the stock between the two services, you may be safe that there won’t be overselling.
Ensure You Can Sell on Amazon
You can sell on Amazon.com if your store meets these criteria:
- Your store country is set to the USA.
You can check that in your Store Control Panel, go to Settings → General → Store Profile, in the Company address section. - USD is set as the store currency.
Since the Amazon US-Marketplace shows product prices in USD, you can upload products from your store only as long as you use US dollars in your catalog. To change the currency, in your Store Control Panel go to Settings → Regional Settings → Currency. - You do not sell handmade goods.
Amazon has a separate marketplace called Amazon Handmade. You can’t add product offers there using third-party services — you should create them directly in your Amazon Handmade account. You can try uploading them to the Amazon marketplace, yet there is a chance that Amazon will reject them.
Connect your Amazon Account
There is a detailed step-by-step wizard that will guide you through the entire process of adding listings to Amazon. To start the wizard, in the left panel, click eCommerce and then click Manage Store. Click Other Channels, and then click Amazon.
To sell on Amazon, you will need an Amazon Professional seller account. If you don't have one yet, you’ll see hints on how to create it. Then you’ll need to set it up:
- Add shipping options and rates
- Set up taxes
- Specify your return terms
- Add the info about your business and terms of service
Some categories require approval from Amazon. In the wizard, you’ll see a drop-down with Amazon categories where you can choose the category that fits your products and you’ll see whether it requires approval. You can also request the approval at this step.
You can edit your settings anytime later in the Amazon seller account. To get there, you can from your Store Control Panel, go to Other Channels → Amazon and click Edit Amazon Profile.
List Products on Amazon
When your Amazon Professional seller account is set up and connected to your store, you are ready to list your first product offer on Amazon.
There are two options to choose from:
- Match your product to existing listings. Most likely the same products are already offered on Amazon. You need to find a product on Amazon and match your product to the existing listing. You can find products right in your Store Control Panel.
- Create your own listing. If you’ve searched through Amazon and haven’t found anything similar to your products (this may happen if you sell some unique products), you’ll need to create a new product in your Amazon seller dashboard and add the listing there.
When you add a listing, you can set product’s price for Amazon.
After you add a listing, it takes time for Amazon to review it. You’ll see the uploading status on the Amazon page in your Store Control Panel. Here you can also edit listings and add new ones.
If you manage products on Amazon (for example, set different stock levels for products there), you need to disable the automatic sync in your store settings. To do this, go to the Store Control Panel, click Other Channels → Amazon and click Edit Amazon Profile. Disable the Sync quantity and prices automatically setting.
Process Orders from Amazon
When your product is bought on Amazon, a new order will appear in your Store Control Panel, go to My Sales → Orders.
To see how well you are doing on Amazon, go to your Store Control Panel → Other Channels → Amazon. This page shows the total sales count and amount of orders coming from Amazon.
Click Manage Orders to see the list of Amazon orders on the Orders page. Here you can see more details: order ID on Amazon, ordered products, shipping address, and so on.

How much does it cost to sell on Amazon?
For the Amazon marketplace in the USA we don’t use any third-party services. So, to connect your store to Amazon.com, you just need a Business or Unlimited plan.
For other Amazon marketplaces (Canada, UK, Germany, Italy, etc.), you can use the Codisto LINQ app. Codisto plan is paid separately. The price varies from $29 to $99+ a month. You can take a 14-day trial for free to test how the app works.

Can I sell handmade goods on Amazon?
Amazon has a separate marketplace for selling handmade goods called Amazon Handmade. They don’t allow product listing uploading via any third-party companies—you should upload products there directly from the Amazon account.
If you want to sell handmade goods on Amazon, consider these options:
- Try listing your handmade goods on the regular Amazon marketplace in an appropriate category. Be ready that there is a chance that Amazon won’t approve the upload;
- Upload products to Amazon Handmade manually, without connecting them to your store.
What happens if I connect an Amazon account where I have existing listings?
Your Amazon account will be linked to your store account. That won’t affect your existing listings in any way: they will remain in your Amazon account and they won’t be linked to your store products.
You can also create new listings from your store. They will be added to your Amazon account and these new listings can be synced with your catalog.
