About Child Nameservers
Child nameservers are custom nameservers that allow you to route a domains traffic to the IP address of a custom DNS service. Most users will not need to do this and will just need to update their domain with existing nameservers provided to them by the DNS service.
Currently, these can be created by submitting a support ticket with the following information for each nameserver:
- Host Name (ex: ns1.domain.com)
- IPv4 Address
- IPv6 Address (optional)
In addition to the above information, please also include the following in your support ticket:
- The email address associated with your Sav account.
- The last 4 digits of the credit card used OR the full PayPal email address used to purchase the domain.
Child Nameservers can be referred to as "hosts" and "glue records" as well.
